Step into a Color Me Mine and one enters a relaxing, inviting space with warm, natural wood furniture and shelves, contemporary music, providing an intimate environment.
Finished ceramic pieces by previous customers and staff members populate the room, giving a sense of the possibilities. With over 400 different bisque items, and approximately 100 styles added per year there are plenty of styles to choose from. A completed, glazed piece fronts many of the selections in order to give a sense of the finished item. We have a photo album filled with pictures of some of our customers beautiful pieces!
To all of my wonderful customers. In order for me to pursue a dream I've had for the last 37 years, I've decided to sell my studio! Knowing how much you all enjoy your time here, I thought one of you might be interested in becoming the new owner of Color Me Mine in Crystal Lake.
The Color Me Mine studio in Crystal Lake has been in business for six wonderful years, achieving above average sales in its first year of operation. This is an unusual opportunity to come into an existing studio in which all of the heavy lifting of finding a location, doing the construction, equipping the studio and building a solid customer base has already been done for you!
In addition you have the benefit of being part of a franchise. I cannot say enough about the resources and programs that are made available to you. Because Color Me Mine is the leader in the paint-your-own-pottery industry with over 130 studios open or in development, there are national purchasing co-ops that save money on operating expenses. All new owners receive extensive training at the corporate office. The marketing programs include everything from cross-promotions with Disney for Jungle Book and Warner Bros. for Happy Feet to scout badge programs, Art Adventures for kids, home school certification programs, and wonderful workshops and classes. One of my favorite features is the message board that is used by all studio owners. It's a fantastic forum to ask questions and share successes.
